September's Message to Customers

The winds of change are stirring, new beginnings and transformation is in full force at the coffeehouse.

A lot of you may have noticed the changes within the shop that have occurred over the past month. The addition of new food items, new beans, a liquor license application posted on the window and the biggest change of all; it comes with great pride and joy to announce that we have changed the name of Kahawa Coffeehouse to The Bean. By tomorrow our new signs will be up on the window and sign board.

In the coming weeks we will be rebranding and relaunching everything in the coffeehouse including a new website, new breakfast and lunch menu and much much more. No worries though, we will not be changing the coffee, however we will be expanding upon the selection we currently roast and sell. We look forward to your feedback on our new selections.

As I mentioned earlier by now you will have seen the application for the LLBO license posted in our window. Our strategy for this is to expand upon our beverage menu and should the application go through on our behalf we will carry a very limited amount of premium alcoholic beverages for our evening customers. Rest assured our goal is not to turn The Bean into a pub or lounge, but having the ability to serve up a snifter of Cognac or a delicious Spanish Coffee we believe would appeal to many of our evening customers.

On October 10, 2009 from 9:00am - 9:00pm will be our official Grand Re-Opening Event and Fundraiser in support of Interval House, we will be launching our new website, photos, menu and drink items and much much more. Stay tuned for the facebook invite, we hope to see you there!

We would like to extend a grateful thank-you to our loyal customers for your support during the transition of ownership,we appreciate you sharing a little bit of your day with us and we hope that you are as excited as we are about the great things to come at The Bean.

From all of us at The Bean,

Enjoy your coffee!
